Job DescriptionThe Group Reporting and Insights (GRI) function is responsible for delivering all internal and external reporting across the Group. This is achieved through close coordination with Group Financial Control, Group Actuarial, and Cluster finance teams, supported by Treasury, Financial Markets, and Strategic Planning and Analysis.The team is accountable for preparing monthly and quarterly reporting for Exco and the Board, delivering the interim and year-end results processes, and producing the annual reporting suite. GRI also works closely with Investor Relations to support external market messaging during results periods, as well as ongoing engagement with investors and analysts. This position reports to the Manager: External Reporting and plays a key role in the production of interim and year end results, monitoring the governance for key performance indicators (KPIs) and business partnering through representation of an allocated cluster.Key DeliverablesThis role supports the Senior Manager, Head of Group Reporting and General Manager of Group Reporting & Insights in producing:Interim and year end results pack including adverts and results SENS announcementResults presentationsVoluntary operating updates and trading statementsMonthly and quarterly reporting packsKey Result AreasSupport the end-to-end interim and year end results process, including collating, drafting and reviewing content. This includes voluntary operating updates and trading statements.Act as the key point of contact for the finance team of the allocated cluster.Review cluster information for interim and year end results and provide input for the monthly and quarterly reporting packs as well as the integrated reporting suite.Develop and maintain processes for the governance, application and monitoring of key performance indicators to support consistent and accurate reporting.Ensure that adequate financial controls are in place and collaborate with Internal Audit for financial reporting controls.Work in collaboration with the Reporting team on any adhoc deliverables in line with Group Reporting and Insights priorities.Qualifications, Skills and Required ExperienceCA(SA) or eligible to register for CA(SA), with minimum 5 years relevant experienceFinancial services experience is required; insurance industry experience is preferableListed company experience including an understanding of JSE requirements is preferableExperience with external publication process is advantageousWorking knowledge of Workiva Wdesk is advantageousStrong attention to detail, analytical capability and professional scepticism to ensure that complete, accurate and valid information is produced, recorded and reported.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including PowerPoint capability, with interpersonal confidence to engage and challenge senior stakeholders constructively.Self-motivated and able to work effectively both autonomously and as part of a broader teamHighly organised and structured, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive issues through to resolutionAble to work constructively under pressure, adapt to change and operate effectively in a hybrid, dual-location teamAbility to start from a blank page with strong skillset to design and implement new processesFlexibility and willingness to work outside strictly defined responsibilities and hours when requiredAble to learn quickly and assimilate a significant amount of information SkillsAccounting, Action Planning, Analytical Thinking, Budget Management, Computer Literacy, Data Analysis, Database Reporting, Data Classification, Data Compilation, Data Controls, Data Encoding, Data Modeling, Evaluating Information, Numerical Aptitude, Solution AnalysisCompetenciesBusiness InsightCollaboratesDecision QualityFinancial AcumenManages ComplexityNimble LearningOptimizes Work ProcessesResourcefulnessEducationNQF Level 7 - Degree, Advance Diploma or Postgraduate Certificate or equivalent (Required)Closing Date26 October 2026 , 23:59The appointment will be made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit in question.The Old Mutual Story!
