The opportunityAI is moving from augmenting individual tasks to redesigning how enterprises operate.As organisations deploy increasingly capable AI agents, the strategic question is no longer simply where to apply artificial intelligence. It is how work, processes, functions, operating models, decision rights, technology and human roles should change when digital agents become active participants in the enterprise.Deloitte Africa Engineering, AI & Data Advisory is building a differentiated capability focused on that problem.We are looking for an exceptional Senior Manager – Agentic Enterprise Transformation to help lead and scale this capability across Africa.This is not primarily an AI implementation role, nor is it a conventional technology strategy position. It is a senior advisory and practice-building role for someone able to work at the intersection of strategy, domain and functional transformation, process redesign, AI, operating model and technology-enabled execution.You will advise senior executives on how agentic AI changes the enterprise, translate that ambition into investable transformation programs, and mobilise the broader Engineering, AI & Data organisation to execute.Your mandateAs the capability steward for Agentic Enterprise Transformation, you will work directly with the EAID Advisory Practice Leader to build one of the practice's flagship growth businesses.You will be expected to create demand, shape propositions, lead client discussions and build capability, not simply manage work originated by others.Your remit will span four dimensions:Market and commercial leadership. Build a distinctive market position for Deloitte around agentic enterprise transformation. Develop senior client relationships, identify transformation opportunities, shape propositions, originate qualified pipeline and convert opportunities into material advisory and implementation programs.Client advisory. Advise CEOs, CIOs, COOs, CDOs and functional executives on where agentic AI can fundamentally redesign work and create enterprise value. Structure ambiguous executive questions into clear strategic choices, transformation pathways and investment decisions.Transformation architecture. Translate enterprise ambition into executable programs spanning business process redesign, human-agent operating models, organisation and workforce implications, AI platforms, data, architecture, governance, adoption and change.Capability building. Develop Deloitte's methods, propositions, accelerators, thought leadership, talent and ecosystem relationships in agentic transformation, while orchestrating specialists from across AI, Data, Cloud, Engineering, Strategy and industry teams. What you will doYou will lead work including:Define future-state enterprise and functional operating models enabled by AI agents.Identify where agentic AI can redesign end-to-end business processes rather than merely automate individual activities.Help executives determine which decisions should remain human-led, become machine-assisted or become increasingly autonomous.Develop enterprise agentic transformation strategies, investment roadmaps and execution portfolios.Establish AI and agent opportunity portfolios and prioritise them using value, feasibility, risk and strategic differentiation.Redesign workflows and business processes around human-agent collaboration.Shape enterprise approaches to agent orchestration, agent lifecycle management and the organisational implications of digital labour.Define transformation governance, ownership, decision rights and operating models required to scale agentic AI.Translate strategy into lighthouse implementations capable of demonstrating measurable value rapidly.Connect strategy to platform, architecture, data, governance, cyber, change and engineering requirements.Challenge vendor, hyperscaler and enterprise software propositions from a client-value perspective.Lead multidisciplinary Deloitte teams from opportunity shaping through mobilisation and delivery.Structure executive workshops, board-level discussions and senior stakeholder decision forums.Develop investment cases and transformation narratives capable of securing executive sponsorship and funding.Originate and lead complex pursuits, proposals and commercial negotiations.Build reusable IP, methodologies, diagnostic assets and signature offerings.Develop thought leadership that strengthens Deloitte's position in the African AI transformation market.Coach Managers, Senior Consultants and Consultants and actively build the next generation of Advisory leaders. The profile we are looking forWe are looking for an unusually strong combination of strategist, transformation leader, technologist and commercial consultant.You should bring:Approximately 15+ years of relevant professional experience, with significant management consulting, technology advisory or transformation consulting experience.A demonstrated track record advising senior executives on complex enterprise or technology-enabled transformation.Experience originating, shaping and selling consulting engagements, not solely delivering work sold by others.Strong understanding of Generative AI and Agentic AI and their implications for enterprise processes, operating models and technology.Experience translating emerging technology into business strategy and executable transformation.Strong business-process and operating-model thinking.Experience leading multidisciplinary programs spanning business and technology.Strong commercial judgement and experience with propositions, pursuits, scope, commercials and executive-level negotiation.Exceptional structured problem solving, synthesis and executive communication.The ability to move comfortably between a CEO/COO conversation about enterprise transformation and a CTO/CDAO conversation about the enabling architecture.Demonstrated capability developing and leading high-performing consulting teams.A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, information systems or a related field is expected. A relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous but not essential.What will distinguish exceptional candidatesThe strongest candidates will have already done some combination of the following:Helped build or scale an AI, digital or technology transformation consulting capability;Originated material consulting revenue;Led enterprise-wide AI or digital transformation with C-suite sponsorship;Redesigned business functions using AI rather than simply deploying isolated AI use cases;Built propositions or intellectual property that became repeatable market offerings;Led early agentic AI programs or enterprise GenAI programs transitioning toward agent-based architectures;Worked across multiple industries and can recognise patterns beyond a single sector; orEstablished a recognised market profile through client leadership, speaking, publishing or ecosystem participation.How success will be measuredSuccess in this role is broader than utilisation or project delivery.You will be expected to demonstrate:a growing, credible pipeline of agentic transformation opportunities;successful origination and conversion of strategic client engagements;measurable managed revenue and contribution to broader EAID revenue;strong client relationships and repeat business;distinctive signature offerings and reusable IP;successful mobilisation of wider Deloitte engineering, data, cloud and AI capabilities;high-quality delivery and client outcomes;development of a strong talent bench; andincreasing external market recognition of Deloitte's Agentic Enterprise Transformation capability.Why this role is differentMost AI roles ask leaders to deploy AI.This role asks a different question: What should the enterprise become when intelligent digital agents can increasingly reason, act and collaborate alongside people?You will have the opportunity to help answer that question with some of Africa's largest organisations and then turn those answers into transformation programs that can actually be executed.
